First-baseman Spencer Horwitz went 2-4 with a home run. The bullpen failed to hold a 3-0 lead for the Pirates, leading to their 7th loss in a row.

The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Seattle Seawhawks for their home-opener at Acrisure Stadium Sunday at 1 PM. Pre-game begins at noon on WBUT. The Steelers enter the game coming off a last minute win against the New York Jets in week 1, while the Seawhawks lost their opening game to the San Francisco 49ers.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds host Louisville tonight at 7 PM at Highmark Stadium.
