Governor Josh Shapiro has announced that mail in ballots saw significantly less mistakes in the 2024 general election than in previous years.
The 2024 General election saw a 57% decrease in percentage of mail ballots rejected. The election saw over seven million Pennsylvanians cast a ballot and 2.2 million mail ballots were cast with an 89% return rate.
Roughly 1% of mail ballots were rejected, the biggest reason were ballots received after the 8 p.m. cut off time on election day.
