As the Presidential primary looms closer and closer one community will be looking at potential voting options.
Passover is a sacred holiday where people of the Jewish faith do not work for two days. Some of the most orthodox followers do nothing to keep intact with their faith.
This year Passover beings the night before the Presidential primary leaving many followers of the Jewish faith out to dry unless they have information on absentee or mail in voting options. But it will be up to the rabbi’s and leaders in each congregation to distribute that information according to Michal Gray-Schaffer, Spiritual leader of The Congregation B’nai Abraham.
“It’s very important to vote. It’s important for all of us to vote; we’re Americans first. I would hope that those rabbis and congregation would be getting out the absentee ballot information to their congregants as well,” Gray-Schaffer said. “It will be an inconvenience for them.”
The Senate returns to session on September 18th the house returns the 25th. There is currently no bill in either house that will move the date up and there is no deadline to move the date.
