Police have confirmed additional details about a vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a Butler woman.
Butler City Police say 50-year-old Roshelle Davenport was driving a motorcycle in the 500 block of West Cunningham Street shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
“(Davenport) struck one vehicle (with her motorcycle) in the 500 block of West Cunningham. She then struck another vehicle in the oncoming lane,” according to a press release issued by Chief Bob O’Neill.
The crashes happened near the West Jefferson Street intersection.
Davenport was not wearing a helmet, according to police. She was initially transported to Butler Memorial Hospital following the crashes and then flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for additional treatment of numerous serious injuries. No one else was injured.
Davenport was pronounced dead Monday at the Pittsburgh hospital.
Butler City Police say their investigation into this crash is ongoing pending results from the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office.
