A Sarver man has been charged following an incident of alleged assault Monday morning in the city of Butler.
According to the Butler City Police Department, just before 10 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to North Jackson Street between West New Castle and West Jefferson Streets.
A 25-year-old female reported talking on the phone when the male driver of a white SUV pulled up and tried to talk to her before getting out, running up behind her, and grabbing her. After she screamed, the man ran back to his vehicle and left the scene.
After a police review of surveillance footage, the vehicle was located parked and unoccupied on North Church Street. A man matching the driver’s description was then taken into custody after returning to the vehicle.
Charges including Indecent Assault and Harassment have been filed against 26-year-old Kristofer Hura. He has been booked into Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.
