The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the final game of their three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 Wednesday. The Bucs were shut down by the Reds Luis Castillo, who allowed just one run on six hits over seven innings. The Pirates fell to 47-61 overall. They have today off and host the New York Mets beginning tomorrow night at PNC Park.
The Pirates traded outfielder Corey Dickerson to the Philadelphia Phillies prior to the MLB trade deadline. The 2018 Gold Glove winner brought the Pirates a player to be named later and $250,000 of additional money in the Pirates 2019-2020 international signing pool money.
