A controversial claim has been made in the race for Center Township Supervisor and a local man plans to take legal action.
Center Township resident Don Pringle is running for Center Township Supervisor against incumbent candidates Robert Sloan and Alan Smallwood.
Pringle told our newsroom that a friend informed him that letters were sent to multiple Center Township residents that appeared to be from Sloan and Smallwood claiming that Pringle is in favor of eliminating the ordinance that prohibits adult book stores.
Pringle claims this is a lie and he has filed a lawsuit alleging defamation against Sloan and Smallwood.
“I never said that to anyone in my entire life nor would I ever promote that and it was just a defamation and slander of my character.”
Requests for comment from Sloan and Smallwood were not immediately returned.
