The Slippery Rock University football team landed a nation-leading five selections on the Associated Press Divsion II All-America team that was announced Wednesday. Harlon Hill finalist quarterback Roland Rivers III was a first-team selection along with offensive tackle Chris Larsen. Wide receiver Henry Litwin, defensive end Chad Kuhn and linebacker Brad Zaffram was named to the AP second team. The Rock’s five selections marked the sixth straight season that Slippery Rock has been represented on the A.P. All-America team.
Tarleton State had the second-most All-Americans named with four. Minnesota State had three. Minnesota State will meet Wet Florida in McKinney, Texas this Saturday for the national championship game. Kick-off is 3:30pm. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
