Butler County has created a new compensation policy in regards to how they pay employees.
The decision was made at Friday’s county commissioners meeting. Members of the county’s salary board say the policy will guide them in setting pay rates for non-union employees that are new hires, transferring positions, or have a change in status.
Butler County Controller Ben Holland says the policy provides a systematic and rational approach for setting salaries and wages.
The new policy takes effect Wednesday.
