A group from Central America will be stopping in Cranberry today for a closer look at how the township uses technology to manage traffic flow.
Ten government representatives, architects, and urban planners from El Salvador are traveling to Cranberry Friday morning for a meeting with officials as part of GlobalPittsburgh’s “City Planning” project.
Topics of discussion will include the benefits of using traffic cameras and other technology to keep travelers moving as well as the partnerships that can help with that objective.
This 12-day project also includes a discussion with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, a tour of sustainable features at Phipps Conservatory, and an event focusing on Smart Cities with Pittsburgh’s Department of Innovation and Performance.
