Slippery Rock University quarterback Roland Rivers III has been invited to play in the Hula Bowl in Honolulu. The game will be nationally televised on this Sunday night at 10:30pm on the CBS Sports Network. Rivers III will report today for a week of practices, community service engagements and meetings with NFL, CFL and XFL teams. The game has been held annually since 1946 as a top collegiate all-star game. Two former NFL coaches will lead the teams – Rex Ryan (New York Jets and Buffalo Bills) and Mike Smith (Atlanta Falcons).
