A bill authored by a local lawmaker will increase protections for minors and victims of human trafficking.
State Representative Marci Mustello’s House Bill strengthens the current law by adding certain prohibited activities to the definition of the crime of unlawful contact with a minor.
This bill is part of a legislative package passed Wednesday by the Pennsylvania State house that focuses on the vulnerabilities that criminals use to force victims into situations where they are trafficked.
Mustello spoke to house members at the capitol Wednesday.
