The first Democrat has entered the race to represent the 41st District in the Pennsylvania senate.
Tony DeLoreto announced that he is seeking the seat currently held by Senator Joe Pittman. DeLoreto is the owner of the Spaghetti Benders restaurant in Indiana County. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.
He says that affordable healthcare, higher education, and making sure the area has good-paying jobs are at the core of his campaign.
The 41st District represents parts of Butler and Westmoreland County, and all of Indiana and Armstrong.
