Prep work for construction on a bridge in Chicora begins today.
PennDOT is urging drivers to use caution as crews will be working near the Buffalo Creek Bridge in between Chicora Medical Center Road and Landmark Alley.
The project includes the installation of erosion and sediment controls as well as the construction of a temporary arch culvert upstream of the bridge. The project costs $2.6 million dollars.
PennDOT says lane restrictions will not be in place until April.
