A Philadelphia man has entered a guilty plea to federal gun and drug charges connected with an incident in Butler in 2016.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 34-year-old Brandon Morris admitted to giving a criminal informant three bricks of heroin and a half ounce of crack for $2,000 in June of 2016.
State Police later searched Morris’ East Brady Street residence and found heroin, crack cocaine, and a large amount of cash in addition to a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, and other drug paraphernalia. Morris was prohibited from possessing a gun due to a prior felony conviction.
Sentencing will take place on July 15th with Morris expected to receive between 5 and 40 years in prison, a fine of $5 million, or both.
