Stocks are falling again today, as the market continues its downward trend.
Local financial advisor Howie Pentony, founder of Pentony Capital Management in Portersville explains why.
“I think the markets are trading on what could happen, rather than what is happening,” Pentony says. “It’s all about the coronavirus.”
The coronavirus has killed thousands worldwide. Pentony says there are no market issues in the United States, but that investors are worried about the impact of the coronavirus.
However, he urges those in the market to remain steady.
“Generally, you want to stay calm and make rational decisions,” Pentony said. “Because when investors are under pressure, and they have fear, they don’t make good decisions. So, my advice is make sure you’re making a good decision, and don’t let fear enter into it.”
