Butler Area School District teachers and administrators are preparing for the possibility of remote learning but at this time, students do not have assignments to complete at home.
According to Superintendent Dr. Brian White, having an extended period of Flexible Instructional Days is very different from how they were originally anticipated to be used due to weather.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education is allowing but not requiring districts to provide continued learning. Districts that choose to do so must be able to ensure full access to learning for all students including those with disabilities.
Butler faculty members are currently participating in online professional development with the idea that remote learning could be introduced next week.
