The Pittsburgh Steelers have cut fullback Roosevelt Nix. The move will save the team over $1 million in cap space. The move comes a day after the Steelers agreed to a deal with former Los Angeles Chargers fullback Derek Watt. Nix is a five-year veteran and former Pro Bowler, but missed 13 games last season due to a knee injury.
The Steelers have also lost safety Sean Davis to the Washington Redskins. Davis will signed a one-year deal worth $5 million with Washington. He was a second-round draft pick from Maryland, and was the final player still with the Steelers from the 2016 NFL Draft class. Davis missed all but one game last season due to injury, and his safety role with the team was taken by the trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

The Chicago Bears have traded a compensatory fourth-round draft pick to Jacksonville for quarterback Nick Foles. The Jaguars had given the 2018 Super Bowl MVP a four-year $88 million contract to bring Foles in as a free agent last year. He will still count nearly $19 million in dead money this year for Jacksonville.
