The Pennsylvania Turnpike has decided to reopen all 17 of their service plazas beginning at 7 a.m. today.
Restrooms inside all service plazas will be open 24 hours a day but the outside portable toilets will still be in place at the plazas for about a week.
Limited food options will be available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for take-out only. All service plazas will have limited staffing for the safety of employees. Fuel and convenience stores will continue to remain open 24 hours a day.
The Turnpike is still not accepting cash or credit cards at their toll booths. This temporary safety measure will keep travelers moving with all tolls assessed electronically.
