A group of physician leaders from across the Western Pennsylvania region is making a difference in the ongoing mission to learn more about the coronavirus and develop more effective treatments.
The Regional Chief Medical Officer Collaborative Group recently endorsed and disseminated guidelines for using a highly advanced means of supplying blood flow and oxygen to severely ill patients.
The group also anticipates approving upcoming recommendations about the use of intensive care resources including beds and ventilators. This team of regional healthcare experts remains committed to combining skills and talents to improve care for all during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. David Rottinghaus of the Butler Health System is one of eight senior physician leaders from different hospitals and medical agencies chosen to be part of this group.
