A local COVID-19 related death was reported to state officials last week, according to an update issued by the Butler Health System.
In Saturday’s update, BHS officials say that Clarion County Hospital reported the death to the Pennsylvania Department of Health on Friday (April 17th). There is currently one other patient at the facility that has a confirmed case of COVID-19.
Also in Saturday’s update, Butler Memorial Hospital currently has 11 patients who are receiving treatment for COVID-19. Officials say that five patients have tested positive, and two are in the ICU.
BHS reminds the public to practice good hygiene, and to stay home if you feel sick. Residents are also reminded to wash their hands frequently, to not touch their face, and to cover coughs and sneezes.
