In an interview with KDKA television – Butler high school graduate and former Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame quarterback Terry Hanratty said he is recovering from the coronavirus at his Connecticut home. Hanratty said he spent six days in the hospital.
Hanratty was selected in the second round of the 1969 NFL draft by the Steelers and was part of the team when they won Super Bowls nine and ten. The Butler County Sports Hall of Famer was a collegiate All-American at Notre Dame. He finished third in the 1968 Heisman Trophy voting.
