Several groups at Slippery Rock University are asking for public help as part of an ongoing project to document life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Stone House Center for Public Humanities, SRU Archives, and the History Department have partnered to create “Shared Voices, Shared Experiences: COVID-19 and the Slippery Rock Community” as a rapid response archive project.
The groups are now accepting submissions of records which can be digital or physical items or documentation representing experiences of living during the pandemic.
Organizers believe that this project will allow for a local connection to a subject of national and global impact that will resonate through history. The materials collected will be used as an educational tool as well as for possible exhibits online and on campus.
Instructions about submission can be found on the project website: slipperyrockcovid19.org.
