Minor League Baseball is prepared to accept a proposal today from Major League Baseball which drastically cuts the number of affiliated minor-league teams. The proposal is part of negotiations for a new Professional Baseball Agreement – which the two sides may finalize in a teleconference today. The teams that will be cut could include one or several based in Pennsylvania.
Speculation has been surrounding what teams would be eliminated? Could the future of teams in State College, Williamsport, and even Erie be in jeopardy?
