As health authorities are developing gradual reopening plans for Pennsylvania, Bishop David Zubik of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh yesterday announced new directives that allow for limited public celebrations of certain sacraments.
Zubik said that, in exceptional circumstances, weddings and funerals with a Mass may now be celebrated with a limit of ten people or fewer in attendance.
However church buildings cannot be reopened until further notice, and the suspension of public celebration of the Mass remains in effect.
