Cars were lined up all through the Big Butler Fairgrounds this morning to receive boxes of food from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
The distribution began at 10 a.m.
Event organizers say they were serving 1,500 vehicles—and had someone at the Unionville Road entrance counting the number of cars for when they reached their limit.
Over 70 volunteers were on hand to distribute food. Some of the volunteers were from the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association, which donated $2,500 toward the cause.
