A local man is facing charges after a stabbing in the city of Butler earlier this week.
According to Butler City Police, shortly after midnight Tuesday morning, officers were called to Butler Memorial Hospital to speak with 22-year-old Jacob Trinkley of Slippery Rock who had been stabbed twice.
The officers were able to view video surveillance that showed a group of people near the intersection of Chestnut and Shore Streets that had gathered a short time earlier to observe a fight between Trinkley and 22-year-old David Demharter of Butler.
