Concerts and live music has essentially come to a stop since the coronavirus shutdown began—and now music venues are asking the federal government for help.
Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale and the Rex Theater in Pittsburgh are among local music venues in the area that are joining the National Independent Venue Association to collectively urge Congress to protect their industry by providing financial support to venues across the country.
The association—known as the NIVA—has more than 1,200 independent music venues it represents.
