With most of southwestern Pennsylvania now in the “yellow” phase, Bishop David Zubik says churches in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh will now be permitted to open for private prayer with safety guidelines in place, including the use of masks.
Moving forward from this stage, Zubik says the diocese will look to return to the public celebration of daily Mass starting Monday, June 1, with a goal of recommencing weekend Masses the weekend of June 6 and 7.
An announcement with further details is expected in the next few days from the Butler Area Catholic Parishes.
