The Wolf Administration is releasing more information about COVID-19 inside nursing homes.
Long-term care facilities have been hit hard by the coronavirus. According to the state department of health, those facilities have accounted for more than 65 percent of the COVID-19 fatalities.
Dr. Rachel Levine is the state secretary of health.
“As we move to yellow in two-thirds of the state on Friday, our actions as a community will help protect those residents in these facilities and those who care for them,” Levine said.
In Butler County, most facilities have had five or fewer cases among their residents. Concordia at the Orchard in Center Township had eight residents with COVID-19 and six employees. The number of deaths was listed as five or fewer.
