Denny Hamlin won NASCAR’s second race back from its 10-week coronavirus shutdown last night, its first Wednesday race since 1984. Hamlin’s victory at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina came in a race that was stopped with 20 laps remaining because of rain. It was his second win of the season and third at Darlington.
Hamlin’s teammate Kyle Busch finished second. He was confronted after the race by Chase Elliott’s team, after Busch caused the race-ending caution by wrecking the #9 car.
Nascar will race in Charlotte Sunday night – with the annual Coca-Cola 600. Hear coverage on WBUT beginning at 5pm.
