The Butler City Farmers Market will be open tomorrow, but with the necessary precautions in place.
“If you approach the farm market and you see that it’s busy, we ask that you stand back and wait for some people to leave,” City councilman and market manager Bob Dandoy said. “We are asking everyone to wear masks; there will be hand sanitizer on site; we’re asking that you practice social distancing, don’t bunch up at a vendor’s table.”
Dandoy says this Saturday’s market will have a lot of popular vendors on hand. He also explained the setup that will be inside the market.
“In front of each stall where the vendor actually is, will be an extra and empty table,” Dandoy said. “That table is where items will pass, money will pass. That will keep the consumer at a distance from the vendor.”
The city’s Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow and is located on South Chestnut Street.
