A woman was seriously injured at McConnell’s Mill State Park yesterday when she fell an estimated 20 feet onto rocks below.
First responders used a Stokes basket and ropes to rescue the woman. She was then flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh trauma center. An updated condition report was not immediately available.
Also at McConnell’s Mill, another day of searching for the body of a Meadville man proved unsuccessful. The 38-year old man is presumed to have drowned when he fell into the fast-moving waters of Slippery Creek earlier this month.
