The City of Butler is making a few adjustments to rules about park activities based on the latest recommendations from the Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society.
The first change is that effective immediately, small family groups can use the fields and courts. No organized games will be permitted but groups of 10 or fewer can practice shooting or use their own equipment.
Another change is that the skate park is now open. A maximum of 25 people can use the skate park at one time. Tennis courts are also open for singles or doubles play with a 15 minute buffer between participants.
The playgrounds remain closed to use by the general public. The exception is use by groups that are a part of a summer program.
