Butler County has processed nearly 25,000 applications for mail-in ballots.
Solicitor Wil White said the process has been going well, but there have been a few issues, including voters getting an incorrect primary ballot.
“While we were processing literally thousands over the weekend, it appears that we inadvertently placed a couple Democratic ballots in Republican envelopes,” White said. “I believe right now we’ve identified five individuals. We have already made arrangements to get the ballots to those individuals. We will not be mailing them, but they will be delivered by members of the office.”
White also said that two weeks ago, a few Democratic voters received Republican ballots. If you received the wrong ballot, White has instructions for you.
“They should call me or the commissioners. We are not going to mail those, because we’re afraid if we mail the right one, by the time you get it, [the ballot] won’t get back in time. If we have to, we’ll hand deliver it.”
The number to call is 724-284-5100.
