Butler Township is moving forward with a project to make improvements at Preston Park.
At their meeting Monday night, Commissioners opened the five bids they received for the part of the project that includes a new portion of the road at Preston Park including 67 parking spaces as well as providing public water and sewer service to new restroom facilities.
Gregor Contracting out of Renfrew submitted the lowest bid out of the five received at just over $440,000 but all bids were tabled for further review by Gateway Engineers who is administering the project for Butler Township.
The Township is expected to award the bid at their next meeting with work expected to be completed in about two months after that. The entire project is expected to cost about $885,000 and wrap up some time in September.
