One man is dead after an accident in Mercer County.
The two vehicle crash happened yesterday morning just before 6:30 on Route 258, about five miles north of Slippery Rock.
Police say that a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Nicholas Cheptiony of Slippery Rock attempted to pass a car that was stopped in the northbound lane and collided into a pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Devon Desavigny of Ohio.
Cheptiony was pronounced dead at the scene. Desavigny was taken to a Youngstown hospital for a suspected serious injury.
State police are currently investigating.
