The NHL and the players’ union agreed on protocols for health and safety measures on Sunday to resume the coronavirus-suspended season. The two sides are still negotiating an extension of the collective bargaining agreement. If everything is agreed to and ratified, games would return in late July or early August, with 24 teams- including the Pittsburgh Penguins, taking part in an expanded playoffs and the Stanley Cup awarded in October.
