That means CEC is asking you to conserve power by turning off all non-essential electric items and set your air conditioner at a minimum of 78 degrees during this time. Also, you can shift the use of dehumidifiers, pool pumps, and electric appliances to hours outside the peak period.
The time frame most in demand is between 1pm-7pm.
CEC serves approximately 25,000 members with over 3,000 miles of distribution line in portions of various counties including Butler.
