Knoch High School has cancelled their prom and graduation ceremonies due to the Coronavirus.
Principal Todd Trofimuk announced that the events, which were going to be held in July, have been canceled. In a letter to parents and students, it points to the Green Phase of reopening where events of 250 or more are prohibited. The principal also references that the State Department of Education has discouraged large group gatherings.
The prom was scheduled for July 31, 2020. Graduation was scheduled for July 30, 2020.
Trofimuk says, “We are very sorry for the disappointment this may cause to our students and families, especially to the members of the class of 2020.”
The prom King and Queen that was voted on by the class of 2020 prior to the pandemic will be announced at a later date and will be posted on the website.
