Although the area got some brief showers over the last 24 hours, Butler County is well behind pace when it comes to rain.
Right now the county is classified as having “dry conditions”—which is the least severe of drought conditions.
And nearly two-thirds of Pennsylvania is experiencing dry conditions as well. There are parts of the Laurel Highlands that are seeing a moderate drought.
