Rochester Road has reopened in Cranberry Township after being shut down when an excavator hit a gas line.
The incident happened just before 10 a.m. across from the Cranberry Township Municipal Building.
Emergency dispatchers say a six inch gas line ruptured after being hit by an excavator.
Work just began last week on an expansion project of Rochester Road.
