The Buccos’ pitching staff had a rough outing on Saturday, highlighted by four first-inning home runs. With the loss, the Pirates drop to 3-12 overall.
Also during Saturday’s game, Phillip Evans was carted off the field on a stretcher after colliding with teammate Gregory Polanco. Evans’ condition is unknown as of Sunday morning.

Officials are also anticipating that the Pirates’ upcoming series against the St. Louis Cardinals, which was originally scheduled to begin on Monday, may be postponed. The Cardinals have not played since July 29th, as several players have tested positive for Covid-19.
