The Seneca Valley School Board and administrators are making changes to their educational plans due to the complex and rapidly changing conditions surrounding the pandemic.
The School Board approved several changes recommended by administration during their regular meeting Monday night including delaying the physical start date for all students to Tuesday, September 8th.
At that time, Seneca Valley will utilize the Cohort Model for the first four weeks of school in which students will be split into two groups based on last name. Students with last names beginning with the letters A through L will go to school buildings Mondays and Wednesdays and remote learn for the remainder of the week. The rest of the students will travel to the buildings Tuesdays and Thursdays with remote learning the other days.
Seneca Valley parents will receive weekly updates during this Phased Start with a decision made on or before September 25th about how instruction will continue beyond October 5th.
Full-time cyber as well as hybrid instruction will continue to be options for families who choose but those choices must be finalized through the Seneca Valley website by this Friday.
