The Mars Area School Board has approved a plan to return to in-person instruction developed by administration.
The Mars Area School District’s Health and Safety Plan will be posted in its entirety to the district’s website for public review.
According to Superintendent Dr. Mark Gross, most feedback received from the community was in favor of an in-person return but the district’s priority will be the health and safety of students and staff.
Face coverings must be worn anywhere people are less than six feet apart including buses, classrooms, and hallways. Some relocations will be made to accommodate eating lunch.
Gross also said that the district has purchased what is believed to be enough masks and face shields. Mars will have a Plan B ready featuring remote learning for all students in case conditions with COVID change.
