The Big Ten and the Pac-12 conferences both postponed their 2020-2021 fall sports, headlined by football, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both conferences will plan to revisit the possibility of having the seasons in the spring. This means no Penn State football this fall. The team had just begun practices this week. Other sports affected by the move are men’s and women’s soccer and cross country, field hockey and women’s volleyball.
The Pac-12 postponement is through the end of the year, which will affect basketball in November and December.
The ACC and SEC are two conferences still committed to having a fall season at this point.
