–Vegas shut-out Vancouver 5-0 in their western conference second-round series opener
The Washington Capitals fired head coach Todd Reirden Sunday, just days after losing their playoff series to the New York Islanders, getting eliminated in the first round for the second year in a row. Reirden was promoted two years ago after four years as assistant coach with the Capitals.
NBA playoffs:
–Boston completed an Eastern Conference series sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers with a 110-106 Sunday.
–Toronto had a dominating 150-122 victory over the Brooklyn Nets to sweep their series.
–Dallas defeated the L.A. Clippers 135-133 in overtime to tie their Western Conference first-round series at 2-2.
–Utah defeated Denver 129-127 to take a 3-1 series lead.
