A data revision by the state Department of Health has reduced Butler County’s COVID-19 case count by one.
Coming out of the weekend, the total number of cases was 746, but as of noon Monday—the data dashboard was reporting 745 cases. This marks the first day without a newly reported case in Butler County since July 15th.
There was an increase though in the number of coronavirus hospitalizations at Butler Memorial Hospital. They are treating four patients for the coronavirus, with one in the ICU.
Butler Health System also reported an additional COVID-19 death to the Department of Health today. Officials noted that the person was not a Butler County resident.
There were also 138 negative tests reported for Butler County Monday.
Overall, the state reported 426 new cases, just under 10,000 negative tests, and just one new death.
