Nearly $4 million will be distributed to municipalities in the county through federal CARES Act funding.
County commissioners approved the measure yesterday, which will see the funds go to 24 different municipalities.
Topping the distribution list is Cranberry Township, which will receive just over $1.3 million. Other top amounts include Butler Township at $716,000 and the City of Butler at $565,000.
This funding comes from the federal coronavirus relief bill that gave Butler County $17 million to use for a variety of economic recovery purposes.
