Slippery Rock Township could soon be getting a new park.
Commissioners approved funding for the park that will be located behind the community center on Branchton Road.
Funding for the new park comes from leftover CDBG funding—which will give the township more than $100,000 in funds for the project.
County officials say they expect pavilions to be purchased later this year, and bids for construction to be sent out in spring of 2021.
